WHY SUPPORT YOUTH ESPORTS?
In 2018, the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) recognized esports as an official sport.
While many schools have sports teams and academic clubs, many have not yet been able to expand into the relatively-new esports scene.

Esports clubs provide an alternative outlet for students who may not have a desire to be involved in academic clubs, the arts, or traditional sports. They give students the opportunity to receive coaching and play on an organized team, which in turn allows them to learn the values of teamwork, individual and group responsibility, competition, and a sense of culture and community.

According to the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), “Involvement in a moderate number of activity domains, among academic/leadership groups, arts activities, clubs, and sports, promotes a greater sense of belonging at school, increased academic engagement, and higher academic performance as measured by grade point average according to a study of urban, ethnically diverse students.”
Many students already play or watch esports on their own; in fact, a 2019 poll found that 32% of those between the ages of 16 and 24 had recently watched an esport, and that number only continues to grow, particularly in tech-focused countries such as China and South Korea. Additionally, 90% of teens play video games.

CCG'S CURRENT SCHOOL PARTNERS

HOW DOES CCG'S YOUTH PROGRAM WORK?
The rapid growth of esports over the past few years has created a huge demand for players, coaches, and organizational staff. Due to the lack of experience most people have in this scene, there is a considerable need for many young and intelligent minds looking to pioneer a new industry.
At CCG, we provide numerous opportunities for our students to excel and grow their skills through training camps, high school partnerships and events, and multiple levels of professional and youth teams. Our mission is to be the leader in player, coaching, and staff development in esports and that starts with our youth programs.
We strive to provide our students with a launchpad into the esports scene by teaching and cultivating the skills that all champions posses and maintain an environment of sportsmanship, as well as comprehensive training and competition. Our programs emphasize discipline, commitment, teamwork, and leadership.
Our goal is to ensure that each student has the opportunity to not only grow their skills individually but also get to display those skills to friends, family, and fans. The current school and club esports scene is extremely limited in visibility. While many schools participate by having esports teams rarely do friends and family get a chance to watch their student and cheer them on. All champions live for the moment to achieve in front of the ones they care most about and with CCGs youth programs all competitors and youth staff get the chance to be seen playing or coaching through live broadcasts and local live events.
